FITNESSGRAM/ACTIVITYGRAM
8.0 Information
FITNESSGRAM/ACTIVITYGRAM 8.0 has many new features and improved capabilities:
- Networking capability. School districts (or individual schools) can choose the version that best suits their needs and their network environments. Click here for a list of system requirements. Choices include
- --a Stand-Alone (Non-Network) Version for a single computer (Windows or MAC);
- --a Small Network Version for networking multiple computers within a single school (LAN-Windows or MAC); and
- --a District SQL Server Version for networking larger numbers of computers in multiple schools throughout the district (WAN--Windows or MAC client computers).
- --a Stand-Alone (Non-Network) Version for a single computer (Windows or MAC);
- Centralized database for the two network versions. Because student data can be stored and shared through one location, this facilitates use of the program across the district and makes it easy to analyze data at the district level.
- Additional new reports. These include student reports in Spanish, and statistical reports for FITNESSGRAM, ACTIVITYGRAM, and the Activity Log, all available at the district, school, and class levels (depending on which version you choose).
- Report Wizard. District and school administrators and teachers can select the scope and range of reports they wish to print. Users can select one or more report types to print at the same time. And report options include being able to view, print, or save the reports for printing at a later time.
- New Parent Report. This provides better communication with parents and can be printed onto pre-printed forms or from the program.
- New Activity Log. With this new interactive feature, students can enter pedometer steps and minutes of activity in a calendar grid. A special feature of the Activity Log also allows networked classes or schools to issue activity level challenges to one another-a great motivational tool.
- More import options. The import feature is expanded, allowing for the import of multiple files simultaneously along with data matching options for student records.
- New class administration features. These include a "Move To" feature that makes it faster and easier to move students around in classes. This is especially helpful for school districts using the centralized database.
- Improved security features. Version 8.0 has enhanced security features, including required logins and different permission levels, in terms of accessing, editing, and running reports for districts, schools, and teachers.
- Greater flexibility and control. Teachers can select only the fitness tests they use and arrange their order within the program for easier entry of fitness scores. This test order can also be copied to other tests.
- Added PDA component. Assessment data can be gathered in the field and entered onto a Windows Pocket PC and then synched to FITNESSGRAM/ACTIVITYGRAM 8.0 and easily downloaded.
